When an issue can’t be resolved in the office, it gets heard through at our Teamster grievance panel. Our union has been fighting back and winning.
When the new Executive Board came into office, the backlog of unresolved discipline was astounding. Hundreds of members were suspended. Dozens were terminated. We took on these disciplinary cases. Together, we’ve overturned unfair discipline and won backpay. We’ve gotten discipline reduced.
As we go to press, not a single UPS Teamster is on discharge.
We’ve made UPS pay for supervisors working and seniority violations. Deadlocked contract violation cases are moving on to arbitration or the national panel.
