Teamsters Local 804 joins our brothers and sisters across the labor movement in mourning the Reverend Jesse Jackson. Jackson stood with us on the picket line in 1997. He stood with Memphis sanitation workers with MLK Jr in 1968.
Wherever workers fought for more, Jackson was there. He was a hero who connected the movements for civil rights and economic justice, and we honor that legacy today.
