The Delivery Protection Act has a majority of the New York City Council behind it. Now we need to push for them to hold a vote.
General President Sean O'Brien rallied with Teamsters from across New York in favor of the Delivery Protection Act.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani has also come out in support of the bill, joining Amazon Teamsters, Councilmembers, and labor and community organizations calling for the Delivery Protection Act to pass.
The bill would take on Amazon’s subcontracting model, where Amazon controls the work but uses layers of subcontractors and LLCs to distance itself from responsibility for the workers who deliver its packages.
Amazon Teamsters are organizing to change that. The Delivery Protection Act is part of the fight to make Amazon accountable for the work it controls and the workers who make its business run.
Now we need to turn that support into action.
Call your Councilmember today and tell them to pass the Delivery Protection Act.
If your Councilmember already supports the bill, ask them to help get it to a vote. If they don't, ask them to sign on.
