Fat Tuesday came twice this year. When UPS management violated the contract by moving full-time 22.3 jobs from Melville to Nassau, the company got a very public visit from our union’s favorite feline.
Drivers rallied with Local 804 Executive Board members and business agents this morning to send the company a message.
It is absolutely not allowed under the contract for the company to move these jobs. Management claims this is a permissible “change of operations.” We absolutely disagree.
UPS expects members to honor the contract—and we expect the same from management.
We will not allow the company to walk all over members and our rights without a response.
