Local 804 and all Teamsters stand with the family of George Floyd.
We stand together in denouncing institutional racism and discrimination in any form. We stand together in insisting that police brutality stop and the officers in question be brought to justice.
One of the basic tenets we insist on and practice as a union is dignity and respect. That goes for both the workplace and in daily life.
Virtual General Membership Meeting
Thanks to all the members who participated in our General Membership meeting via Zoom. 640 members registered for our meeting and our attendance hit 390 at the high point.
We got positive feedback from members that the meeting was informative and organized.
Zoom had widespread service interruptions all morning and unfortunately our meeting was affected by these technical difficulties.
Bob Morici spoke about the need for a health care proxy and power of attorney, especially in the midst of a global pandemic. Morici & Morici has offered to assist with this, free of charge.

Get Tested for COVID-19
Essential workers can make an appointment to be tested for COVID-19 at a New York State drive-through or walk-in testing site. All Local 804 members qualify.
Take Action Today to Fight for Essential Workers
Teamsters Local 804 has joined 75 unions and organizations nationwide to fight for an Essential Workers Bill of Rights, including hazard pay and workplace safety protections.
COVID-19: Paid Leave & Short-Term Disability
Local 804 members at UPS are eligible for two weeks (10 days) of paid leave benefits if you are under a physician’s care for COVID-19 or have been advised by a physician or state agency to self-quarantine.
