Teamsters Now, Teamsters Forever

A union panel has found former Local 804 officers not guilty of the charges against them and reversed the suspensions from Teamster membership of Tim Sylvester and Jim Reynolds.

Lower Co-Pays & Other Health & Welfare Benefit Improvements

The Union and company Trustees on the Health and Welfare fund have agreed to benefit improvements without going to arbitration. Effective March 1,  2021 the copay will be reduced to $10, including for retirees.

Dental implants have been approved through in-network Blue Cross dentists at the rate of two per year at no cost to members. This includes bone grafts if necessary, and anesthesia. Retirees are eligible for the in-network discount at in-network Blue Cross dentists.

As soon as COVID vaccines are made available, Local 804 members and their immediate families will have zero copay.

Local 804 will constantly look to improve benefits for our active and retired members. We look forward to more improvements and the continued growth of the Health and Welfare fund.

One Union-One Goal.

Teamsters Win Strike, New Contract at Hunts Point

Local 804 could not be more proud to have stood shoulder to shoulder with Local 202 and the 1,400 Teamsters at Hunts Point Market. The strike is over and members have approved a three-year contract that protects their healthcare and delivers $1.85 in wage increases. These brave Teamsters did more than win a strike, a raise, and a new contract. They showed New York City and the world what the Teamsters and the labor movement can be. One union! One goal!

Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. challenged us with the question, "What are you doing for others?" In Local 804, it is our job to be there for one another and to fight for respect and dignity for every member and every worker. That was the call of the civil rights movement and we are here to answer it. One Union. One Goal.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and thank you to Local 804 members everywhere. You've loaded and sorted the packages, delivered presents and essential (and non-essential) goods. You're fed the hungry through City Harvest. Now you are delivering the vaccine and putting a stake through the heart of this pandemic. In a million ways, you've been there for New York and for each other. One union, one goal!

Thank You and Congratulations Tom Lamontanaro

Congratulations to Tom Lamontanaro who is retiring as the Health & Welfare Fund Manager. Tom has worked hard for the members for decades and protected our fund and our benefits. We thank him for his service and wish him the best in his retirement. Long-time and experienced Fund employee, Marc Pantaleone, will serve as our new Fund manager, but Tom will never be replaced!
